Yeah twice the price would instantly rule out the HWH in my opinion too, but i've been quoted on a CCH and a HWH with only $350 difference between them. I prefer a darker amp so am running it with 90% of the highs cut and 25% treble on the TB channel to get past the B caps. There are some concerns that the CC isn't very pedal friendly due to the bright caps (on the brilliance switch and across the whole top boost circuit) that can make it sound brittle. But I finally found the perfect setting so am a happy camper and feel no need to go for the "upgrade". I was having issues dialing in the tone I was after with my new tone bender with my other pedals, there is a dizzying array of possible settings on the CCH, top boost (treble and bass with custom vs standard EQ), normal (brilliance switch), smoothing (vintage vs modern), output bias (warm vs hot), tonecut switch and blendable channels. I was actually contemplating selling mine for the HWH until recently. The trem is great, FX loop is rubbish, I don't use it, as is the reverb once you get a good pedal (dr scientist mini reverberator for me). Don't forget the CCH has switchable cathode resistor that lowers power output and increases tube life too. I've owned mine going on 5 years with no trouble. The CCH doesn't have the same reliability issues as the combos as it is well ventilated and not a torture box for the tubes. This allows the speaker and amp to behave in the same way at stage or bedroom levels, delivering a sense of power and tone that cannot be obtained from conventional attenuators.I've got the CCH and I've played the HWH.
